Festival of Accompanists, 13-17 June 2018 – Guest Artists: Piano Duo Lisa Moore & Sonya Lifschitz
For five days in June 2018 pianists young and old, professionals and students, will create untold excitement on multiple pianos – from two to 32 – uprights, grands and even professional toy pianos in private teaching studios, schools and public performance spaces, culminating with a Celebrity Recital in Elder Hall performed by acclaimed pianists LISA MOORE and SONYA LIFSCHITZ. When asked “Why Duo Pianos?” Guild Founder and Festival Convenor, Diana Harris responded: “I’ve known Lisa Moore’s work for years, in Australia and through the media reports on her jam-packed US and international activities. She’s a bundle of excitement, a huge performer and a tremendous teacher. As one might expect a lot of sound and activity resulting is some inspirational music making for our: JEMs (Junior Ensemble Musicians) and their preparations for a class with percussionist, Jamie Adam, who generously provided some of the instruments needed for the JEM’s 12.10 Festival Concert in the Flinders Street Baptist Church on Wednesday September 17. Their lovely concert was expertly prepared by convenor Monika Laczofy, followed for the first time by a special lunch for the JEM’s which kept them happy and satisfied before the exciting concert especially arranged for the JEMs and their families by Vibes Virtuoso ,…

Due to circumstances beyond the Guild’s control this recital has been moved to Elder Hall at 7.45 pm. We are extremely grateful to the Conservatorium for providing this wonderful alternative venue. Car parking is available in the University car park close to Elder Hall.
